Jorge Prado was immaculate in the MXGP qualifying race win as he grabbed the holeshot and led every lap in front of his home crowd.

It was Maxime Renaux who was second early before Tim Gajser made a pass but Prado was already gone at the the front and continued to pull away.
Jeffrey Herlings and Romain Febvre both got terrible starts with Herlings around tenth but was able to recover to fourth.
Febvre who was even further behind at the start recovered to eighth.
Glenn Coldenhoff had a strong ride to finish fifth on his Fantic machine.
Ben Watson was thirteenth with Adam Sterry fifteenth and Josh Gilbert rounding out the top twenty after a disastrous start.
